Grummer said...: All cool photos-- I really like the lighting and composition on the third one of the swimmer-- and the chaotic nature of it really does make it feel "loud". The slightly more abstract second photo is also loud in its colors and motion blur, although it doesn't really jump out at me as much. As for the first photo, I would say it is my least favorite because it's so far away and generally uninteresting, but the concept and the colors certainly pass as loud.; September 24, 2008 at 5:09 PM

Angelico said...: I agree with Grummer: the third is my favorite and the first my least. What I like most about the third is the cropping. The fact that the top of the swimmer's head is cut off gives the feeling that we're a lot closer than we should be. Like we're about to get hit by some of that water. It makes the photo much more visually interesting. Likewise, I don't like the first photo for almost the same reason: it feels too far away. Like I just paid a ton of money for nosebleed seats. That, and UCLA is spelled backwards. :-p; September 24, 2008 at 9:09 PM
