Summer Photos

The first couple were actually taken with my cell phone's camera. I thought the effects it gave them was better than the sharp quality of the my sony.

This one was taken with my roommates Cannon.

This was taken with the Sony

Lastly, these photos were also taken with the Sony and are of that somewhat unknown and misunderstood sport of airsoft. (If you would like to know more, just ask :) )

And a little night shooting

Seattle Summer Nights

A few long exposure shots I took this summer in the San Juan islands in Washington.

My Summer in Photos: Hiking Macros

Never go hiking without a macro lens.

My Summer in Photos (part two)

I took a friend out hiking and subjected him to my direction for a few photos. You know you've got good friends when they're willing to help you carry your lighting gear up a mountain.

Some Summer Photos by Kit!

This is probably a rookie question, but I can't figure out why my colors look WAY better in these photos in Photoshop, but kind of shitty on the web (ie. this blog.)...

Anyway, here is a Giant Sequoia for you.

And here are some roots that I sort of wish were an art piece in my house.

And to change locations drastically, here are some good old Joshua Trees.
(May still counts as summer, right?)

And here is Geoff. Looking contemplative.

The end!

Photography Crash Course

This Sunday (the 27th) Photography Club is hosting an afternoon Crash Course in using your camera. We'll meet for dinner in the commons at 4:30, then go out for a photo walk around campus, where we'll teach you all about using your camera to its fullest potential.

Beginners: This is your best opportunity to learn directly from people that know what they're talking about. No textbooks, no technical jargon you don't absolutely need to know--just us on a walk. Depending on turnout and how much information we cover, we may not do this more than once! It really depends on you!
Intermediates: Rusty from the Summer? This will be an excellent refresher.
Advanced: Please come! Keep your skills sharp and get to know the new members. Also, I don't wanna be the only one teaching. And if you shoot Nikon, I really want you to come, 'cause I don't know enough about the UI (I'm looking at you, Furtado, Ms. Russell).

So, in summary:
TimeSunday, September 27th. 4:30 P.M.
Place: Inside the Commons. Fishbowl. Look for people with Cameras.
Bring: Your camera, any equipment you want, and if you still have the instruction manual, bring that too, just in case.

See you then!

Meeting Time

After much deliberation, I've decided on this semester's meeting time and location:
Tuesdays, 7 P.M. In Appleton 116
Same building as last year, but different room. For those of you that may not be familiar with it, Appleton is the one that makes East look like a dump.
See you then!

New Year, New Blog

A new year is underway, and with it I've decided to make a few improvements to our blog. Let me know what you think!

My favorite addition is the calendar on the right side of the page. All of our upcoming events will be displayed there, so check it out often.

Also, please make sure I have your e-mail address so that I can contact you about figuring out a regular meeting time. I just sent one out. Tell me if you didn't get it!

Best,
Angelico
